Notice for visitors on COVID 19
The House of European History will remain open to people that have not visited the regions affected by the coronavirus, during the last 14 days before they seek access.
An up-to-date list of the regions concerned, as applicable today, is displayed, at the entrance of the museum. As of 9 March, the regions mentioned on the list were:
- China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao)
- South Korea
- Italy: the entire country
Please note that visitors will be requested to sign a statement that they have not visited one of the regions affected by the coronavirus, nor have been in known contact with a person affected by the virus.
If you have travelled in any of the areas in the last 14 days, we ask you please to postpone your visit to another time.
We are taking further precautionary measures regarding the spread of the coronavirus.
The House of European History will close on Mondays at 18:00 for the foreseeable future, rather than the previous later opening time of 21:00.
Additional cleaning staff have been hired to clean the museum throughout each day and alcohol rub dispensers have been deployed in the museum. Certain sections may be temporarily inaccessible, for deep cleaning.
Please rest assured that these are measures of a temporary nature. We are monitoring the situation in real time and will adapt measures accordingly. Thank you.
