Description

An initiative of the European Parliament, the House of European History inaugurated in Brussels on May 4, 2017 is a contemporary museum thought of as a “place of memory and of the future”, intended for a wide audience.

Available formats and languages

Its collections, exhibitions and programming retrace the history of Europe, highlighting the phenomena and events that have united or divided the peoples who make it up. The chosen vision is resolutely transnational, in order to reflect the diversity and the many interpretations that European history gives rise to. Unique in its kind, the House of European History intends to stimulate critical and civic reflection on the past, present and future of Europe. Does it succeed and how?
