Museum resumes group activities

The House of European History will gradually resume its group activities starting from Monday, March 14.

The decision follows the improvement of the public health conditions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent decisions of the competent Belgian and European Parliament authorities to lift, relax, or phase out coronavirus measures and restrictions.

The gradual reopening is foreseen to unfold in the following way:

• Guided tours of the museum’s permanent exhibition will recommence for the general public on Monday, March 14.
• On Monday, March 28, guided tours of the permanent exhibition will become again available to primary and secondary schools.
• Lunch tours of the museum’s permanent exhibition will recommence for the general public on Tuesday, March 15.
• The museum will start offering tours of its temporary exhibition When Walls Talk on Saturday, April 30, while school workshops for this exhibition will be available as of Monday, May 9.
• The museum will recommence its school workshop on human rights as of Thursday, September 22.

Guided tours and workshops last 90 minutes and are available in French, English, Dutch or German. Lunch tours last 45 minutes and are available only in English. All activities are free of charge as is the entrance to the museum.

Groups interested in these activities need to reserve their visit electronically at least four weeks before the intended date of visit. It is advisable to check availability and reserve a visit well in advance of the required four-week period. Only for lunch tours no reservation is required – visitors can drop in ahead of start time.
